I was inspired by the form of an ax which is commonly seen as a primitive tool. I considered the sharpness of the ax as an element of inspiration while omitting the ax image as an object. For this sculpture, the sharpness of the ax was considered to be conceptual and imaginative. As a result, two pieces came together and created a circular form which invites the viewer to go around the sculpture. The sharp and smooth surface of the sculpture urges the viewers impulse to touch.
